In Loving Memory of Anna Marie Monteleone
November 1, 1930 – February 26, 2026
With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Anna
Marie Monteleone, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother,
sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 26, 2026,
surrounded by her family.
Born in Trinidad, Colorado, Anna Marie lived a life defined by kindness,
resilience, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She married
August Monteleone on August 28, 1954, and together they built a home
filled with laughter, warmth, and unconditional
love.
Anna Marie’s greatest joy was being a mother to her 4 children — Arnie,
Judy, Christine and Paul — and “Nonna” to her grandchildren and great
grandchildren. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and valued,
whether through her comforting words, or her
gentle wisdom.
Beyond her family, Anna Marie was a dedicated Catholic and prayed for
herself and others continuously. She enjoyed volunteering at the
church, working in her yard, was an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending
time with her children and their families.
Anna Marie was proceeded in death by her beloved husband August
Montelone. She is survived by her children Arnie (Danette) Monteleone,
Judy (Tony) Vasquez, Christine (Eric) Ries, Paul (Donna) Monteleone,
sister Theresa Paravecchio, brother John (Yvonne) Reorda,
sister-in-law Jane Monteleone and Margie Monteleone, thirteen
grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews’ other
relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2026, at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2026, at Holy
Trinity Church, with Rosary at 9:30 AM followed by the Funeral services
at 10 AM. Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
There will be luncheon following at the St. Joseph
Hall, 1700 Buena Vista for family and friends.
Her love was a steady light in our lives, and though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts.
