Leonard Paul Torres, “Grandpa” age 64 passed away on February 25, 2026

He was born on April 15, 1961, in Trinidad, CO to Antonio De Jesus and Zelma Torres.

Leonard grew up in Weston, CO and was a proud graduate of Primero High School. During his high school years, he participated in football.

Throughout his life he was known for his strong work ethic and his strong dedication to his son Leonard, longtime partner Annette, family and friends. He found joy in fishing, camping, hunting, listening to Spanish music and always willing to help anyone out.

Leonard will be remembered as a man that was faithful and devout to his family. He was loving, selfless, compassionate, hard-working and kind.

He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio De Jesus Torres; his grandparents John and Crisanta Torres; Belarmino and Dolores Garcia; his siblings, Marietta Rodriguez, Anthony Torres, Richard Torres, Albert Torres, Odelia Torres and other beloved relatives.

Leonard is survived by his son, Leonard Torres Jr, his mother Zelma Torres, his partner Annette Lucero, his siblings Pete Torres, Elsie (Salvador) Ortiz, Sam (Kathy) Torres, Brenda (Felix) Baca, Diane Ortiz, Reuben (Liz) Torres, Edward (Brenda) Torres, his God children Sheila (Leroy) Mestas and Edward Torres Jr, special nephew John (Tara) Torres, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation: Thursday March 5, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Comi Chapel

Rosary: Thursday March 5, 2026, 12:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church

Funeral Mass: Thursday March 5, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church

Interment: Thursday March 5, 2026, following mass at Weston Cemetery
