Richard Dale Rivera Jr was called to his final resting place on Saturday February 09, 2026. He was born in Raton, New Mexico on July 04, 1981 to Shirley and Richard Rivera Sr. He graduated from Trinidad High School in 1999. loved fishing, camping, watching sports, and was avid collector of Night Before Christmas and Transformers. He also spent his free time building his own stereo and speaker systems. Growing up he accumulated several trophies for his lowrider bike and was also featured in the Low Rider Magazine. He worked at the Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center for 24 years as a CNA and then later as the patients transport driver. During his 24 years he was loved by all of his co workers and the patients he took care of. His life long companion Rachel Sandoval of 15 years was his best friend and co worker, they supported each other in every day life and their favorite hobbies. Some of their favorite things to do together were building Lego’s, shopping, concerts and took annual trips to Estas Park for elk viewing.
