Michael Thomas ReardonApril 8th, 1950 - January 13th 2026
Mike was born in Pontypool Wales UK, he talked about his growing up there and a
bit of his childhood. He attended school and finished up when he was 15 years of
age. (Over in Britain you finish at an early age and unless you've started working,
you pursue a higher level of education, such as university.) Mike started working
right out of school, he had many jobs, including learning the trade as a brick layer.
He did other types of work before he married his first wife at age 20.He was a
young father of three children. Mike worked at Mill Brick Works as a machine
operator, at Park Davies Construction site, he worked for a firm called Cementation
Construction. Panteg steel Works as an Arc furnace operator. As a coal miner Mike
worked in various locations in Wales. He worked until the mines started shutting
down. During the 13 years he spent working in the coal mines he met up with so many good mates.
Following
the end of his first marriage, he went to Chelsey Harbor in London and
worked there as a security guard in a high-rise apartment where he met a
lot of famous stars including Mr. & Mrs. Michael Caine.
Mike came back to Wales and worked at the Queens Hotel and met his second wife Carol Hunter.
Through immigration he came to the United States, and they were married on October 2nd 1993.
Mike
worked many jobs and finally got a job with JD Edwards in 1995. The
company folded and PeopleSoft took over. It was on December 11th, 1997,
that Mike became a naturalized Citizen. From this time, he was with
PeopleSoft, until the company was acquired by Oracle and Mike worked
with Oracle until his retirement in 2015.
Mike
took up the art of photography and devoted his time to taking amazing
wildlife pictures. He also had a great sense of humor. He will be
greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May
God bless his soul.
Preceding him in death were his Father,
William John Reardon and Mother, Marjorie Shirley Reardon. Mike is
survived by his wife, Carol E Reardon, brother-in-law, Robert T Hunter,
brothers, Terry (Wendy) Reardon and Christopher (Angie) Reardon.
Children, Paul (Amie) Reardon , Joanne Price (Andy Kopjas), and
Andrew(Mandy) Reardon. As well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services
for Michael Thomas Reardon will be held on Monday, January 26th,
2026 at 11:00 am at the Comi Funeral Chapel, 1804 E Main St, Trinidad,
CO 81082.
Remembrances may be made in the form of contributions in Mike's name to:
Trinidad Lake State Park, 32610 Hwy 12, Trinidad, CO 81082 , a cause close to Mike's heart.
The
