Gloria Marie Starkey passed away peacefully at home December 16th, 2025. She was 89 years old.
Gloria was bom October 20th 1936 in Weston, Colorado to Henry and Theresa(Aragon) Duran.
She had six siblings: Gilbert, Elvera, Susie, Frieda, Marylou and Martha. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Theresa, brother Gilbert (Theresa) Duran, sister Susie (Joe) Archuleta, brother in law Eddie Griego, son Rocky Kaiser,

daughter Theresa Duran, grandsons Wes Duran, Jarod Lopez, Joey Lopez and son in law Gerald Boulier. Gloria devoted many years working at Primero School. In her time there, she touched the lives of many students and staff members. The school became her home away from home and she loved each and every one of her work family. She is survived by her daughters Joylin Medina, and Roxann (Ron) Fernandez, grandchildren Melissa Mestas, John Mestas, Chantay Starkey, T.J.

Fernandez, Jewel Boulier and Johnny Rivera. Great grandchildren Santana Mestas, Trinity Martinez, Aiden Komaroski, Austin Fernandez, and Lyra Boulier. Sisters Elvira Griego, Freida (David) Brodie and Marylou (Marty) Garcia, Martha (Ben) Gloria was a blessing to everyone she met. She easily showed her deep love for her family and friends. She was the heart of her family, her love was like a warm embrace that enveloped all of them. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was completely devoted to our Lord and our Lady, with an unshakeable faith in the Catholic Church and its teachings. She was a Catechist, Rosary Rally Captain and a Prayer Warrior for many years .

Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Comi Chapel from 3 PM to 6 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Holy Trinity, Catholic Church, with recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 9:30 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 AM.
INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW AT THE WESTON CEMETERY, WESTERN COLORADO.
