Saria Linn Waln

12.02.25

Saria Linn Waln, age 28, passed away on December 12, 2025, leaving this world far
too soon but forever brighter for having known her. Born on March 24, 1997, Saria
was truly the brightest of all lights—someone whose presence alone could lift a
room and soften even the hardest of days.

Saria had a beautiful, radiant smile that reflected the kindness and joy within her.
She possessed a rare gift for brightening anyone’s day, effortlessly making people
laugh with her goofy spirit, infectious humor, and boundless energy. She loved to
dance, be silly, and live life fully and unapologetically, reminding everyone around
her not to take a single moment for granted.

Her greatest joy in life was her husband, Jeff, the love of her life and her constant companion since their teenage years. Their bond was unbreakable, unwavering, and full of laughter—built on years of growing up together, standing side by side, and loving one another deeply.  Her powerful devotion extended to her nieces and nephews, siblings, cousins, all family and friends whom she loved with all her heart.  She had a deep love for animals, especially elephants, and she adored her kitties (Inky, Klaus, & Marshall), who brought her comfort, joy, and endless affection.  Her gentle heart extended to all living things, and her love for animals reflected the kindness and compassion that defined her.   Saria had a rare gift for brightening any room she entered, making it her personal mission to ensure everyone around her felt seen and happy.

Saria leaves behind her beloved husband Jeff and so many loved ones whose lives she touched in unforgettable ways. Though her time here was brief, her impact was immense.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jeff Martinez; parents, Bobby & Lisa Waln, and Angel Griego; siblings, Martin Waln & Destiny, Jaydin Waln & Kenzie, sissy & best friend, Jaylynn Griego, Taylor Dalsimer, Devian Dalsimer & Noah, Kaylee Gegelman, Jesse Gegelman, Cole Gegelman, Jojo Madrid, and Stevie Martinez; parents-in-law – Tracy Toupal-Gegelman & Joe Madrid, and Steve Martinez, aunts & uncles, Jason Griego, Sunny Griego, Noel Taylor, John & Kristy Toupal, Dennis Monarco, and others. Grandparents, Bob & Shelley Waln, Nancy & Jim Toupal, nephews and nieces, Jaydin Jr., Malakai, Isaac, Emmi, Westin, Wrenlee, Jesse, Novaleigh, Levi and Justin; and cousins, Jaylynn and Josh Griego, Gabe and Zach Martinez, RJ and Erin Toupal. And many, many other special friends and relatives.  Though she left us far too soon, Saria’s legacy of kindness and joy will never be forgotten. She was greatly loved and will be missed beyond measure.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her compassion for others, her dancing spirit, and the light she shared so freely with the world.

Saria’s light will never fade. It lives on in the hearts of all who loved her, in every shared memory, every laugh, and every moment of joy inspired by her beautiful soul.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever shining.

Family and friends are invited to honor her life at a Celebration of her Life on Monday, December 22, 2025, 10am at Comi Funeral Home.   Please consider wearing bright and happy colors, Saria would love that!
