Annette Alice Martinez (De Leon), passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025,
before her time at the young age of 36, surrounded by the love of her family. Born
June 17,1989, to Andres and Alice De Leon in Trinidad, Colorado. Netty grew up
in her hometown and proudly graduated from Trinidad High School before building
a life defined by compassion, dedication, and love.
For ten years Netty lived in Denver, Colorado, where she worked as a Certified
Nursing Assistant. Caring for others was not just her profession—it was her calling.
She had a remarkable gift for bringing comfort, dignity and kindness to the elderly
she served, and her gentle presence touched countless lives.
Netty is preceded in death by her Mother, Alice De Leon (Barela) of Trinidad. She is
survived by her Father, Andres De Leon of Trinidad, Sister Frances Martinez and
Brother-in
law John Martinez of Denver, her Brothers Andres De Leon Jr. and
Gabriel De Leon both of Trinidad. And her beloved children Izayah (17)
and Alexiyah (15). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts,
uncles, and cousins who will carry her memory forward with every
sunrise.
Netty
faced life’s challenges with courage, grace, and unwavering
determination. She had a playful and loving spirit that shone through
in her enjoyment of horror movies, her fondness for Baby Yoda and her
deep love for animals, and the small joys she shared with the people
around her. Above all, her children were the center of her world, and
she poured her heart into every moment she spent with them.
She
will be remembered for her generous heart, her fierce loyalty to her
family, and the way she made others feel seen, comforted, and loved.
Though she left this world too soon, her spirit will continue to live on
in the cherished memories she leaves behind and in the lives she
touched.
A Rosary will be said at 6:00p.m. on Thursday, December 18th at Comi Chapel, 1804 E. Main St.
Funeral
services will be held at Holy Trinity Church, 135 Church St, at 10 a.m.
on Friday, December 19th followed by interment at Trinidad Catholic
Cemetery, 2366 E. Main St.
